Web App vs Website: Pick the Contract Before the Stack
CodeLoop Studio ·

A website is how people find you and send an enquiry. A web app is how staff or clients work after they log in. Mixing both in one quote is how the brochure waits on the roles, and the roles wait on the palette.
CodeLoop Studio in Sarajevo will tell you which contract you are in before we talk stack. How we build the logged-in product is web app development. How we build the public page is website development notes. This article is only the split.
A simple test
If the URL is opened once in a campaign, you want a site: sitemap, copy, speed, a form. If the URL is opened every morning, you want an app: accounts, permissions, state, the next action. A password on a PDF is still a site. A shop with a cart is a third product.
Two calendars, two estimates
Site. Weeks when the map is honest and copy exists. Website development. Cost drivers: website cost in BiH.
App. Custom work here typically sits in a 3–9 month arc; a narrower MVP can be shorter. Custom software. Cost drivers: web app cost in BiH.
Portal. Content plus roles — web portals — not a CRM by another name unless the pipeline is the job.
Proof on both sides. SD Nail Studio is a site. LipoDIETA is accounts and a protocol. We do not invent MAU or traffic.
You can need both
Then they are two scopes on paper. Same studio, two freezes, two handovers. Cloud versus a local install is a later question — cloud vs local app — after we know whether anyone logs in.
How to start
Send whether people must log in, and what they do after. We reply within 24 hours which contract you are in — online estimate or contact. We will not rename a site an app to charge more.
