Website and App Maintenance: Hosting Is Not a Retainer

Maintenance is who applies updates, who answers when search or pay breaks, and whether a copy change waits on a ticket. Hosting on a card is not that contract. “Call us when it is on fire” is a third option — say which one you are buying.

CodeLoop Studio in Sarajevo hands over source and accounts. We can stay on a written retainer, or we can leave. Both are honest. A silent “included forever” in the small print is not. Build cost is website cost or web app cost. This page is after v1.

Three shapes, not one package

Hosting and domain: a bill you keep in your name. Content edits: hours or a monthly bag, written. Care for an app: dependencies, backups, a person who knows the repo. Mixing all three into “maintenance” without a list is how both sides are surprised in month four.

What we put on paper

  • You already have the keys. We do not invent a hostage fee to “release” the site. That is also how the house works.

  • WordPress without an owner is a time bomb. When not WP is the build question. Updates are the year-two question.

  • Products we still operate are named. Koliko is inventory we designed and still run. That is product care, not a brochure SLA we invented for this article.

  • No fake 24/7 NOC. We are a studio in Sarajevo. Urgent means a named channel, not a wall of logos.

Build first, then the bag

We will not sell a retainer before there is a site or an app to keep. Website development and custom software stay the front door.
