# Ten Things to Freeze Before You Commission a Website

A useful website brief is ten decisions, not a moodboard. Who gets the enquiry, what “done” means, and whether this is actually a shop or an app.

A useful website brief is ten decisions, not a moodboard. Freeze these and the estimate is honest. Skip them and you pay for a shop while receiving a brochure — or the reverse.

CodeLoop Studio in Sarajevo will ask these on the first mail. The build page is [website development](https://www.codeloop.ba/website-development). Process after the freeze is [website development notes](https://www.codeloop.ba/blog/izrada-web-stranica).

## The ten

* **1\. Site, shop, or app.** One contract. [The split](https://www.codeloop.ba/blog/razlika-izmedju-web-aplikacije-i-web-stranice).
* **2\. One action.** Enquiry, book, call. Three buttons is how none fire.
* **3\. Who owns the inbox.** A form to nobody is decoration.
* **4\. Languages.** What you will actually write and maintain.
* **5\. Proof you already have.** We will not invent clients. [SD Nail Studio](https://www.codeloop.ba/study-case/sdnailstudio) is an operator site we shipped — yours must be yours.
* **6\. Domain and Search Console in your name.** Non-negotiable.
* **7\. Who publishes after launch.** If nobody, skip the news CMS. [When not WordPress](https://www.codeloop.ba/blog/kada-ne-kreirati-wordpress-web-stranicu).
* **8\. Photos of this business.** Stock interiors from another city do not carry a local query.
* **9\. Deadline that is a date, not a vibe.** “ASAP” is not a freeze.
* **10\. What is out of scope.** SEO #1, a shop, an app — name them as later or never. Cost honesty: [website cost in BiH](https://www.codeloop.ba/blog/koliko-kosta-izrada-web-stranice-u-bih).
